The Pindari Glacier Trek leads to the source of the Pindar River, a key tributary of the Alaknanda, where Kumaon and Garhwal landscapes meet. Reaching Zero Point at 12,200 ft, trekkers witness the awe-inspiring 3.5 km-long Pindari Glacier, framed by pink rhododendrons, dense forests, and rare wildlife like the Himalayan Monal and Ibex. The trail offers adventure through streams, ice patches, spider walls, and historic bridges, yet remains suitable for families. Towering peaks such as Maiktoli, Nanda Devi East, Nanda Khat, Nanda Kot, and Balijuri dominate the skyline. Steeped in history, this route once served as a trade path to Tibet and was explored in 1830 by G.W. Traill. Marked by landslide zones from the 2013 floods, the trek reflects nature’s power and resilience—rightly earning its name as the Soul of Kumaon
