Roopkund Trek

The Roopkund Trek, famous for the mysterious Skeleton Lake at 15,800 ft, is a challenging and adventurous journey in the Garhwal Himalayas. The trek features steep ascents, rocky campsites like Pathar Nachauni (12,850 ft) and Bhagwabasa (14,200 ft), and high-altitude spiritual spots such as Kalu Vinayak (14,000 ft), where devotees offer prayers to Lord Ganesha. Along the trail, trekkers pass through the stunning Ali-Bedni Bugyals, twin meadows that rival standalone treks, and enjoy panoramic views of Mt. Trishul and Mt. Nanda Ghunti from Bedni Top. Other highlights include Bedni Kund, Ali Top, Dolia Dhar Ridge, Ran Ka Dhaar Ridge, and Neelganga. With its combination of scenic beauty, folklore, and high-altitude challenges, Roopkund Trek offers an unforgettable Himalayan experience for adventure seekers and nature enthusiasts alike.
