The Rupin Pass Trek is a spectacular high-altitude Himalayan adventure in Himachal Pradesh, known for its dramatic terrain shifts and constant surprises. Starting from the quaint village of Bawta, the trail passes through oak and rhododendron forests, hanging villages, alpine meadows, snow bridges, and glacial valleys. Highlights include Jakha, the last settlement on the route, the vibrant meadows of Dandreyash Thatch, and the magnificent 1,500-foot Rupin Waterfall, climbed alongside during the ascent. The trek becomes more thrilling as it crosses snowfields and the narrow Rupin Gully to reach Rupin Pass at 15,300 feet. Descending into Sangla Valley, trekkers are welcomed by apple orchards and the Baspa River, concluding a journey that perfectly blends adventure, beauty, and culture.
